Original post by Ronnie&Theresa

I was 16... Just got my nose fixed so I was in the house all summer....

Everyone was in my pool and I was watching!
So sad!

Jenn, thats sooo cool !! You will be a pro at mommynme things !! did you like that job ??

How funny about the characters, ive been debating doing that job on the weekends for fun. not in the summer because I would sweat my buns off in those things, but ive been secretly dyingto do that !
i had a brief experience with it, i worked at FAO Schwarz on 5th avenue for a few years, and I sold SWATCH watches for kids (Flik flak watches) and i had to dress as the characters a few times at FAO and at bloomies. the custumers at FAO were SO MUCH more FUN than the stuck-up bloomies crowd.

Anna, the Mommy and Me place I worked at was so much fun!! It went out of business, but coincidentally, the shopping center where it was is down the block from my current home!

I preferred working with the 18 month+ crowd, but I had alot of infant groups too (not as much fun, especially if they couldn't sit up yet!)

Doing the characters was great $$. I got $50 for 45 minutes work, AND excellent tips. I did it for the same company I id Mommy and Me for, and a HUGE bonus was that the parties were on site, so I didn't have to travel.

I was going on 23, finished graduate school and in London working as a volunteer through a British-American exchange program for the summer.

I was 21 - drinking, partying and having a ball with my friends. I had just started participating in carshows and met ALOT of guys. I was on top of the world, beating out guys in competition, etc. I think I spent every Sunday at the Boardy Barn. It was the best time of my life.
