What were you most thankful for on your wedding day???

Now that the day has come, and gone...thinking back...aside from marrying the most wonderful partner ever!!! what are you most thankful for...

1. Having my grandfather there...my mother had not seen him in 16 yrs. I got to dance a song with him (the song he danced with my now deceased grandmother on their wedding day)....

2. Having my father inlaw alive on that day (he had a massive heart attack 3 weeks prior to the wedding)...

3. My mom....for being my mom....she was late to the reception...but she gave the most wonderful speech ever...thanking DH for placing his dreams on the side to help mine come true...calling him her son....(we've been together about a decade...and my mom and DH werent too fond of each other in the begining of our relationship)...

and you???

My father was not feeling the day of the wedding. He was a yellow color on the way to the church and he was dizzy. I honestly thought I had to walk in my myself, but he managed to walk me in. I was so thankful that he was able to do it.

My friends and family being there. It really reassured me how many people there are that love and care about me, and they were all in one room! It was great

Having my grandfather there definetely. He is 84 years old and not in the best health. So it was really wonderful to have him there.

Also, I was really nervous about how I was going to be, emotionally, that day. My father passed away 2 years ago and everytime I thought about going through the wedding without him it upset me. But the day of the wedding I was so calm and happy and whenever I thought of my dad I smiled instead of getting sad. I think he was with me somehow.

having my grandmother there. She was very ill at the time with cancer. But she made it, and she made it to my cousin's wedding 2 months later and died shortly thereafter. That is the singlemost thing I am thankful for. I would have given up everything I got/had that day to ensure that she would be there just to see it all.

Just that the most important people in both of our lives were there to share our day with us. Everything else was a bonus!

that my dad was there with me, and walked me down the aisle. He had a heart attack the tuesday before my wedding. We did our aisle walk and our one dance, and he sat the rest out, but he was there.

My mom and my sister (MOH) they were truly my saviours and I couldn't have pulled it off w/o them. My sister and mom stayed up late w/ me the last few days and ran all over town helping me tie up all the loose ends....

And that the thunderstorms that woke me up at 4:30 in the am stopped and the sun actually came out for the ceremony and the pictures after!!
