What were your feelings...

when you first felt your baby kicking?

Heaven on earth!

I Was in the casino of a ship, we were on a cruise. I was standing there as John played craps... just watching him and cheering him on.. it was the flutters (@18w). It was the most unbelievable feeling in the world.... it was this special little bond forming, where all these people in the room were all into the 'bing bing bing' sounds, and I had this precious little flutter going on inside of me...
Of course, I totally distracted John from playing

The KICKS, the belly moving, rib-stabbing kicks, those are even better. I loved every one. I would stand there as he kicked, put my hand to my belly where I knew the next kick would be (they get very predictable...well sometimes! ) and I was just in awe of every single move... whether I was online at the supermarket, or walking through a store, I would stop and absorb the moment...

If there is a feeling called 'heaven on earth' that's it... of course followed by MANY MORE of these feelings as you experience the miracle of childbirth, and everything that follows it........

Didja have to get me started... Now im gonna go kiss my precious boy a million more times...

it's funny though how happy I was to feel Billy kicking but when he started keeping me up towards the end ALL NIGHT with the STRONGEST kicks I had felt..well, it was still good to feel him but I used to BEG him to stop

This time they say I will feel the kicks sooner than I did with the first pregnancy..I CANT WAIT

Jenn, Anna's post says alot...mostly, it's an amazing thing that you share with your baby even before you can see their face. I remember feeling like I could understand his personality just based upon when/where and how he was kicking me. They react to things you eat, things you say and do...it's truly amazing.

And, despite being miserable and bloated and just plain tired of being pregnant, when it was over, it was the kicks and the movement that I missed and longed for - even though I had my gorgeous son! You don't forget it too quickly.

Pretty much like Anna said, although I didn't know what the heck it was at first -- I thought it was gas, but it didn't feel like gas and then when I thought it was fluttering, it wasn't!!! But that's typical for me, not having the 'norm' happen to me!

One morning I felt like my whole stomach turn upside down, as if I was on a roller coaster, and I KNEW and it was the greatest feeling!!! Then I got 'pushed' a couple of times and it made it even more real.

Now, this Bear Cub is moving all over the place, especially last night! Joe got kicked in the face a couple of times last night and kept going back for more!!!! It was having some kind of fit or was playing, who the heck knows. I'm just glad he/she moved because it was in a position where I was soooo uncomfortable and couldn't walk w/o having to pee every 2 minutes (or what felt like it) and I couldn't bend over -- and if I did -- I got kicked BUT GOOD!!!! I have a stubborn baby, like his/her daddy!!!!
