My top choices were:

1. Dubai/Maldives
2. Bora Bora
3. South Africa/Seychelles

1. Italy (where we are going)
2. Ireland (orignally we planned to do both Ireland and Italy, but then realized one was enough!)
2. I've always wanted to go to Australia, but it wasn't ever discussed as a honeymoon destination. One day...

We knew for our honeymoon we wanted to keep it tropical. Originally we wanted
1. Hawaii
2. maldives
3. Bora Bora

Then we realized we only have 8 nights to go away and can't do any of those in 8 nights. So we decided we want to go somewhere we can get to as fast as possible. So now we have...
1. Mexico
2. Dominican Republic
3. Virgin islands (any of them!)

As long as we can lay in the beach with a drink in hand, we will be in heaven!!

if i didnt do any of that and REALLY wanted to go someplace i was gonna do DR....Ecxellance..all inclusive and great prices!!!

1. Mexico (we wanted to do Cabo for a week and Riviera Maya for a week but the air rates and itineraries were crazy so are just going with Riviera Maya and heading over to Cancun for a couple of nights for a little night life)

2. Hawaii was a thought but we wanted something all-inclusive

3. Greek Cruise was also a though but I ended up going on a Greek Cruise on business back in October and didn't want to go to the same place twice in the same year.

4. Portugal was another contender. LOVE Portugal!

First we wanted Fiji, but when I realized how far the flight was and how expensive it would be we decided not to.

Then we wanted Costa Rica, but we couldn't find a good package to combine adventure with relaxing.

So....Couples Swept Away here we come! This way we get to go snorkeling and boating and lay on the beach and drink all day too!

the others in no particular order:

ireland, norway, tibet, china, thailand, italy... there's probably some more.

i'm not really a touristy person, and while i wouldn't turn down a trip to a sunny sea side resort in hawaii or the bahamas or something, it's just not me OR fh. we want to back pack through somewhere and stay at temples or hostels or something - kinda go where no tourists would go. but that's just us. =0)
