WHat will happenn..??

At my second DR.'s apt???

Its 4/7 and by then Ill be 12 weeks and a day... I did a sonogram last apt. and saw the babys heart beat, and the DR. told me at this apt we will hear it....is that another sonogram too???

I havent had an internal exam...or done the glucose test...when does all that happen?? Anything else I should know or ask??

If you didn't need the internal on the first apt, you won't (or shouldn't) need one at all. I had it only on my first apt.

AT my second apt. the Dr tried to use the doppler to hear the heartbeat but it was very staticy (sp?) so she did an u/s....I don't think it is normally done again, just the doppler. I went for my third apt today and she just used the doppler to hear the heartbeat

I am having my glucose test when I am 24 weeks. HTH

I know you go once a month...and I know you dont always get a sonogram done.. so I was wondering what exactly does go on....

I know a few people who went to the dr. for there 1st apt... and bythe 2nd or third there due date changed...does that happen often??

ALso when do you find out the sex of the baby... a friend of mine found out at 16 weeks...some say 20, and then another woman on here i think found out at 15....

If they dont do a sonogram everyweek.... then when do they offically look???

They don't do a sonogram at every visit. If it is a non sono visit, in my office normally they check your weight , your urine, your blood pressure, double check any swelling you might have, and they use the doppler to hear the heart beat. Pretty routine. My sonos were 7 weeks, 19 weeks (roughly) 32 weeks and again I will be having one at 35 weeks. The first opportunity to possibly see the sex is around 16 weeks but it's not always possible like in my case.

Exactly what Swags said. I went for my third apt yesterday. She checked weight, urine, blood pressure, took blood (for the AFP), listened to the HB with the doppler and asked me about any questions or concerns. I asked her to do a sonogram (I'm 16.5 weeks) and she said no I had to make an apt for 3 weeks for my level II where we will hopefully find out the sex
