.... when you leave the reception???

We are having a Saturday night wedding. We're going from the reception to a hotel where we have the honeymoon suite. A lot of our OOT guests are staying at this hotel and I suppose there's a chance that we might still be in the party mood, etc.

Anywho - I digress a bit... if you are going to a hotel after the reception, will you be changing out of your gown? Or leaving it on for just a bit longer??

FH wants to carry me over the threshold of our new apt. in my gown so I'll be leaving the reception hall with it on. then i'll change into something more comfortable

I would want to keep my gown on for as long as I can, I joke around saying that since my wedding is a few days before Halloween, I will where it then also!

we're going back to the hotel after our reception and i am def keeping my gown on. i'll never get to wear it again and i love it, so i want to keep it on as long as possible!!

I went to my reception venue wearing getting ready clothes-- I put my dress on at about 3 30PM. Ceremony started at 7 30, and then we had a 5 hour affair, plus an hour and a half long after party. I wore my dress for about 11 hours. By the time I was ready to crawl into the limo and go to the hotel, it was definitely time to take the dress off. I put back on the same clothes I wore to get ready. I was never so happy to put on sweats-- as much as I did loooove my dress.

I left the reception and went to the hotel, left for my honeymoon the next morning and as much as I loved my dress, it wasn't coming on the trip with us! I changed into jeans.

after our wedding we went back to the hotel where the OOT guests were staying and where we had a suite.

after we checked in, we went back downstairs to hang out at the bar with some guests, wearing our wedding attire. I didn't want to take off that dress until the last possible second!

We were staying at the same hotel as our guests...we joined them in our wedding attire at the bar for a while --half of them changed....but I stayed in my dress---didn't want to take it off, you only wear it once!!!

We are staying at the recpetion place and there is a bar in the hotel part so I will keep the gown on. I only get to wear it for one day so I am going to get my money's woth
