What will you wear under your dress ;)

My mom just asked me when I was going to get my corset....I was not really planning on wearing one, I was going to have cups sewn into the dress and go 'commando'. She seems to think this is very odd. But I hate the thought of being constricted all day, plus the wedding is in Aug so I am afraid I will be hot.

I am also still working on pantyhose or no. I was hoping for open toed shoes, no stockings. My mom thinks I am nuts- you would think I am trying to run around naked, like my 2K gown does not count!

What is everyone else doing?

If I could get away without a corset I would. I am top heavy. Anyways - do what is comfy for you. who is going to see or know?? except your hubby and let me tell you - he will be so turned on if you wisper to him during the day that you are going commando. MY FH would take me to a secluded place in the middle of everything if I wispered that to him on our big day.

I'm with you. I had panties, but nothing else.

I had cups sewn into my dress, open toes shoes and no pantyhose.

I'm with you ladies - also getting married in August. I don't even know if I am putting cups into my dress - I'm lacking in the chest department! And I was not planning on wearing pantyhose because I want open toed shoes. But I think I will wear panties, in case my dress flies up for any reason. :) Maybe they will be my 'something blue'.

I don't think you need a corset. You have lost alot of weight and look great. I think cups sewn in will be fine.

LOL, I think FH would be too happy w. the idea of total commando - everyone would be wondering where the bride and groom were *scandalous* I would go panties, but thats it. I am thinking of garter and thigh highs if anything.

If they sew in cups, I want some extra padding. As much as they will give me!

I intend on going commando too - just underwear, no bra/corset...and most certainly no stockings - I abhor those things.

I'm wearing a corset b/c with my DD's I have no choice

Other than that a thong or G-String and a very slim slip. Not a Bridal one

The only benefit of my relatively small chest is that I dont need to wear a corset if I dont wanna. I am wondering how I would even work the snap-crotch on most of them with the million layers that will be under my dress. I do not want to imagine having my BMs snap it for me after I use the ladies

I also HATE pantyhose. I never wear them, I would rather wear a nice pantsuit then use them, which is why I dont think I want to wear them on my wedding day. I dont want to be uncomfortable. Decisions, decisions...

I'm wearing one of those bra-corset type things, it only goes to your waist, not below. I think it's called a long line bra or something. Just that and probably a thong or panties. NO STOCKINGS!!! Gak!!! I hate stockings.

I actually went and tried on one today, it is called a corsetier the woman said, the one that goes to the waist and has some ribbing but not a lace up back.

I liked the way this one looked but it was 80 bucks, is that normal? Damn I never bought such an expensive bra I am not too big on top either and there really isnt room to show cleavage in my dress but I like the smooth feeling it gives me.

I held off buying today and figured I'd shop around, I am gonna try the department stores over the weekend and maybe even victorias secret but it looks like the good ones are in the catalog and I really want to try it on first.

I too am debating the stockings thing but i am a may bride if I was summer I would probably go without stockings but i just feel more dressy with stockings and dont want to have sweaty sticking together legs underneath, am I crazy?

hmmmm. I did not think of the sweaty sticking together legs thing. That adds another dimension to my dilemma BUT, I know how much I hate stockings, so my hatred for them may win out. I find thigh highs are not always very flattering, at least the ones w. the elastic on the top arent. I may go and buy a garter belt and thigh highs (not elastic ones) and do a day long test run w. a long skirt to see if they are comfortable.

I was thinking of buying a long line bra also, to try w. my first fitting to see if I like the way it looks better. The back of my dress is very low, do they make ones w. low backs???
