What are you looking for in a president??
Anyone who runs for president is a person like anyone else...Not a magician...Not a miracle worker...
There's lots to be said on each end as to why or why not you want someone in office...But exactly what is it that you'd like to see accomplished--regardless of who you think is more capable...

I would like to feel safer. I would like to not worry when DH is in the city. This is what I would like most.

I'm with you there.
It frustrates me to hear out president talk about how much our men and women in uniform are doing for us, and have him take all of the credit for it......our loved ones are over there risking their lives while he's hear presenting speeches about it that someone else wrote for him.
I want a country that I can be proud of being a part of, a country that says AND means freedom and equality.
Pretty much, I want utopia and it's not going to happen

I agree. I feel like many other people in other countries have a low opinion of the US. Whether or not it's deserved...I don't have enough info personally to answer that question. But I do know that we spend a lot of money to help people in other countries, and sometimes we should. But there are lots of problems here that we're not doing enough about- poverty, homelessness, the school systems (especially those in impoverished areas).
I want to be able to make a really informed decision on Nov. 2, but I also feel frustrated because a lot of the information out there seems biased, and who do you believe?

being a military wifey-to-be, I must side with the Republicans, generally they do better things for our military and my marine is my only concern at the moment. I will start to think globally again when he is safe in my arms again.

That's the first thought on my mind too, with my brother in the military. I personally feel safer having a president with some war experience in his background, so I lean towards Kerry more

Morals??? WHAT MORALS, they haven't declined they've disappeared especially amongst young women, I agree with you too!

I agree with you there...I disagree with some that the President has all that much control over the ecomonmy in the big picture...its TOO much politics, it involves too much people, from big business, to politicians, to the individual and involves so many bigger issues, that I hate even hearing them talk about it anymore because it all seems like a dream that will, never come true..I'd like to see smaller goals established and followed through on, and made public so we could see where our money was going and what our president was doing.

My biggest problem is the current jobs situation. I have a good job and I am probably not going to get laid off anytime soon. But I still would like to see the Technology sector (among others) to improve.
