my friend gave me these for free, so I want to put them to good use. you may have seen my post yesterday about my truffle box favor/placecard holder....so I am going to go with that as the main favor, but give these filled with something at the end...
if I can, I'd like to have it related to my theme...
what would Shakespeare put in...breath mints LOL (the Elizabethan had bad teeth/breath!)
I'm sure it can't be hard to print a sticker to put on the tin...
And more...
Oregon Shakespeare Festival Shakespeare mint tin. 1.05oz. delicious mints in a re-usable tin, great for small office and sewing items.

Candy or chocolate is a good idea and you could put a favor tag that says something cute like 'how do I love thee, let me count the ways' or a sonnet or something.

This might get tedious, but maybe you can type up your favorite sonnets or at last an excerpt of one and put it in each tin. Then if you want something additional, maybe some small chocolates or mints.

Re: What would Shakespeare put in these?
it seems like the Elizabethan's were actually fond of sucking candies, so it wouldn't be too far flung to put mints in there.
I myself and fond of buttermints, not traditional comfits (which are made with fennel seed, aka anise- think licorice or sambucca or ouzo) this may be the way to go.
though, this is a quote from Love's Labour Lost that speaks of gingerbread
'And had I but one penny in the world, thou shouldst have it to buy gingerbread'
what about gingerbread cookies?

I LOVE Gingerbread cookies, but it reminds me of Xmas...

OMG!!! I can't believe something like this EXISTS!!! at least I know I am not the only Bard freak out there!
I would put a long string of taffy or twistlers. Those boxes remind me of the foot long gum holders back in the 80s. So I keep thinking of something stringy coming out of it. LOL I dont know why.
Different colored candy covered almonds would be nice, OR you could put a nut mix in!

my wedding cake is filled with chocolate and almond cream with a marzipan icing!

are you looking for the candied almonds or just plain almonds?
If it's the candied almonds (that come in various colors) - go to Atlantic Avenue - there's a place called Sahadi's & another place called Oriental...they're both Middle Eastern (family of mine) and sell them!
