We received a gift card to Fortunoff's for $100. I am SO anxious to use it, but not sure what to get. We don't live together yet and don't want to buy something from our registry and have it sitting around for a year.
I have seen and plan on getting a vinyl tablecloth for my/our patio set (which I have), but it's $15!!
Any suggestions?!?! I'd prefer not to shell out any money, but don't want to waste this $100.

I personally would save it and anything you really wanted off your registry that you dont get you can purchase. Since you don't live together there is not much you can buy and actually use instead of have it sit around for a year.

I know how you feel! After my engagement, My godfather gave us a gift card to Fortunoffs for $1000!!! Idont think it expires for two years so I think im going to use on bridal party or parent gifts or whatever is left on my registry.. I want to use now so badly!

Whoa! If mine was for $1000, I'd be worse! It's worse than money burning a hole in my pocket! If it does not expire for 2 yrs, then I'll wait.
I'd contemplated buying one of the wedding ensamble sets (garter, guest book, ring pillow, flower basket, etc).

I think i checked the expiration date like 3 times just to make sure!!! Thats not bad idea about the guestbook and stuff.. thanks!

I bought a sterling cake cutting set to use on the wedding day with a Fortunoff gift cert I got before the wedding.
Or you could get some toasting flutes. (The sell the Sworovski crystal ones if you like those.)

Yes, I agree as well. We got a whole bunch of gift cards from engagement parties, shower....we are saving them all to see what we don't get from our registries and going shopping after the wedding!

I also got one for our engagement almost a year ago. It's killing me, but I haven't used it. I figured I 'd wait until after the shower. I almost feel like it's bad luck to use it now!
