What would you dance to more? (band or DJ)

this is a tough question to answer...I believe both can make you dance equally...It all depends on how good the DJ or band is...I have been to weddings where I have danced more with the band then the DJ just bc of the selection of music they were playing...

I firmly believe that a band can be just as entertaining & fun as a DJ...When we picked out our band, I made sure they played a wide variety of songs....I want my guests to get their 'groove on' It happens to be that the band we picked performs in clubs, so they are up-to-date with the music they play...It is all a preference thing & whether or not you have the $$ to spend on a band

I don't think it matters -- what matters is the music they provide. If the music wasn't good for either, then I wouldn't dance.

band just seem more interactive to me...but everyone has their own preferences

People were dancing to wedding bands many years before DJ's were an option. I don't think their weddings were lacking entertainment. Personally, I much prefer a band. Live music, IMO has an air of elegance that I like.

I think it depends on the music selection more than whether it's a band or dj. I've been up and dancing to both.

I don;'t think it makes ANY difference at all. it has more to do with the music selections and how well the DJ or bandleader reads the crowd

I may actually go with the best of both worlds. My dad knows a band that also has a DJ, so we may wind up with both...when the band's not playing, then the DJ will play.

I have been to weddings were I hated the band or I hated the DJ. I usually dance more when there is a Dj but, a lot of the older crowd prefers the band and probably will dance more with a band. I think you are doing the right thing and getting both...

I've always preferred DJ's and I don't think they are any less elegant.

I'd have to say DJ. I'm prob more tempted to just sit and WATCH a live band like I'm at a lil concert. Whereas with a DJ there's nothing to see so I'll get up and dance. It's nice having live entertainment but it costs a fortune and doesn't always sound like the original artists, so you can be disappointed.
