what would you do?

what would you do?

Remember the other day I posted about sending my husband something to his hotel room while he is away - well I called the retaurant in the hotel they are staying at and decided on sending them a bottle of tequila. Great - the woman said get me the name that the room is under.

So I just called the hotel - none of the guys (there are 4 of them) on the trip have a reservation under their name. I called again to double check. Nothing!

How do I handle this now?

#1. I trust my husband completely - that is not an issue - I do believe they are going there, and there is nothing fishy going on. (Although the guys he is with I don't trust so much - well one of them.)
#2. If I call them to tell them there is no reservation I also have to tell him why I called or else he is going to think I am crazy.
It will ruin my surprise but maybe save them some problems.
#3. Maybe the guy that I spoke to is just wrong. He said they had openings at the hotel though - so if they don't have a reservation its ok.

Should I just wait and call again tomorrow to see if they checked in?

I would call him and tell him what happened and why you called the hotel in the first place. Trust or not, it would drive me CRAZY ...

Me too...Couldn't you just call his cell to say hi and make sure he got there OK? And then say give me the hotel number to reach you? I would be pissed...But I am like that. I like knowing where he is all the time. I trust him, but still want to know where he is!

Maybe the reservation is corporate... under the job name.

I checked all their names and their company names. They are leaving in an hour - they aren't even there yet.

There has to be some sort of mistake.

any other advice??

Give him a call now and ask what name the room is under in case you need to reach him! I think that is a reasonable request, and not overly protective...

i would call after they are supposed to have arrived. if they're still not there call him on his cell and see what's up. maybe they didn't make a reservation?

This sounds like the simplest solution.

That is exactly what I was going to suggest

sounds reasonable! how else would you find out the room number if you had to call him at the hotel rather than his cell?

Re: what would you do?

This would have been a simple solution - BUT he didn't check into his hotel until after 11... :)

ANYWay - lAst night I get home about 6:00 - I go to my bedroom and there was a HUUUUGE boquet of flowers waiting for me with the sweetest card EVER!! I called and left him a message (he was still in the air at this point) to thank him - and added - hey call me when you get there....

I had dinner last night witha friend, and when we left the restaurant (around 10) I checked my phone - I had 3 missed calls from him. So I called him back - they hadn't even gotten to the hotel yet! grr....

He called me again this morning to say hi - after we hung up I called the hotel again - Not only is there a reservation under our friends name - BUT he has TWO rooms- so there are TWO reservations!!!

Clearly the loser I spoke to on the phone yesterday was confused!!!!!!
Even though I trust my husband completely - I have to admit I am a little relieved :)
Thanks for the help through my nerves!!

Glad it all worked out well! I totally trust my FH, but some of his friends I don't at all...He called me from his bachelor party last weekend in A.C. and three of the guys were getting 'happy ending' massages! Ewww!
