What would you do?

What would you do?

My cousin gave birth to twins a few months ago, so I sent them an outift or two, along with a few other small items.
I got invited to their baptism which was this past weekend but I couldn't go because it was in New York (I live in VA). Should I still send a gift even though I already sent her something?

P.S. - I have yet to get a thank-you card for the gifts that I already sent! (this would not keep me from sending another gift though...just had to vent )

Yup. To me, they're two different occasions.

I think it really is to separate ones too.

What about savings bonds for them?

Ah, that's what I figured. I was going to go the bank and get savings bonds but just thought I'd see what you all said first....

I would not send something, you already did... You did not go to christening, so you did not cost them anything. I feel like lately people having babies have turned into fundraisers. the baby shower, gift at birth, christening, then 1st bday. it is a blessed event in THEIR child's life, if you could have gone and been a part of it great, bring a gift, as you would any celebration. But I do not feel like it is an obligation at this point to start your cousin's kids college funds. JMO.
