I found a BM dress that I like and I am going to get it. The thing is I found it in a dress store that I would not order it from because I have had bad experiences there, but I went there because they do carry every designer.
Any way i went to another store who carries that designer but did not have the sample they said they would order the sample and call me when it comes in(so the girls can see it when they go get measured) . They still did not get it.
Am I running late with the Bm dresses or do I still have time???
Should I just tell the girls to get measured and they don't see the dress

What about taking them to the other store that has the sample, have them try it on there just to get an idea, and then order it through the other store.
Do I think you have time - maybe...but not a lot. Some dresses do take a while to come in and you don't want to rush the alterations if they are necessary.

Well, u have seen it and its what you want, right? If the girls are ok w/whatever ur decision may be, I would go w/the reputable place and go ordering dresses there. As long as they order the right dress...u have already seen what it looks like. If they want to see them, go to the other place to check them out. I did that w/my wedding dress. I found it elsewhere in a different color. I went there to try it on. I know dresses take 4 months to order...sometimes less. I dont think you are being pushed for time right now but get on it soon.

I think you still have some time- can the dress shop give you at least an eta on the arrival of the sample- they should know delivery dates and such...

I would do what Christine suggested. Have everyone try the sample on at the store you don't like. But then go to the other store to order it. Or try to find another good store that already has the sample and order it from there!
