If you had the choice of taking off the week between Christmas and New Years's or working that week with only one person from each department in the office so it would be sloooooooooooooooow...but you'd get a week off some other time, what would you do?

I would take off but I almost always take off that week. I love that vacation.
But it also depends. If you get no other vacation, then I'd probably save it for the summer.

I like to work when there is no one here. It would depend on DH too. If he had to work, I may as well work too.

That's what we do too (DH and I). It's such a slow week, and we usually leave early every day.

Re: What would you do?
There would probably be almost nothing to do that week. I might be able to just read or watch tv even. FH will probably be working. I would most likely have to take a week off sometime in January, but then it would be easier to get wedding stuff done rather then during that holiday week, right?

Re: What would you do?
I like having that week off, but if the office was quiet and I can take the week at another time, I would work. I prefer having time off when other people don't, and that is a busy and expensive week for taking vacations, and crowded for running errands.

Re: What would you do?
I would work it only b/c everyone off that week with school and a lot of parents take that week off. The malls are still going to be crowded with returns and tons of teenagers not having anything to do.
Take another week off but that is just me.

my opinion? -
the week between christmas and new years is boring to me. im done with my shopping and there is not much to do. travel is also expensive that week.
i say take off in feb/march and plan a great beach vacation!

Re: What would you do?
I usually take off bc I come home to NY, but if I didn't travel I would work and take time off later.
