What Would You Do?
I asked this of one member in order to boost her to the 1000 mark.. but it is actually inspired by true events!
Let's say you get engaged and you set a budget and you are happy with all your decisions and budget.. and suddenly you are given a large sum of cash. Large as in - $20G... nothing life altering, but a tidy sum.
Would you apply the money to the wedding to make it bigger? Would you expand your budget a LITTLE because of this largesse? Or would you just go all out?
My friend was telling me about a girl she knows who took the money from a car insurance settlement and poured it into her wedding. Went from a nice, modest wedding to a complete and total blowout. Spared nothing.
The girl and her husband had an AMAZING wedding and created a ton of memories. But 2 years later they have the memories, the pictures and a child in a little apartment that they are struggling to afford. And the funny thing is, I am told she says she wouldn't change a single thing.
