What would you do?
Ok this is kind of a long story.
I booked a Dj for my wedding back in July of 06. They told me they would set me up with some dj's to meet with and view their work at receptions in October '06. Exactly a year before my wedding. They were supposed to take XXX amount of money from my account towards the deposit. They only took half of it. Then there were 2 more dates they were supposed to take more $$$. Well they never did nor did they ever set me up w/ a DJ last October. Fast forward to last month. I called them to confirm my date with them. Well he answered the phone with a different name. Still a DJ company. He said they merged with the other one I origianlly booked with. Ok So he said to go to their website and log in to customer login. He told me to put my email address and what password to use. It doesn't work. So I called him back and he said email me your info and I will set it up again for you. Low and behold it still didn't work. So I called today and he said oh it probably went into my spam folder. So he has me holding as he is looking. HELLO.... shouldn't you just be looking for my contract? So he said he found paperwork with our date and my name. So he said email him again. So I did and as I was talking to him I heard his computer make that noise telling him he has new mail so I know he got it. He said he would have it ready today for me to log into and if I try again and it doesn't work to call him back tomorrow. Well I tried going on the website just now and guess what? The website isn't working and it was earlier. It just sounds fishy to me....
My wedding is in 3 months. What should I do? They have some of my money already so I don't even know how I would go about getting that back and I don't even know if I could find another DJ in that short of time. I checked with the bbb and they are not a member. So I really don't know what to do. I am going to keep trying this website and keep calling him but how do I know if he is giving me the run around everytime I talk to him.
