FH is not really an involved wedding planner, haha, but I asked him if he could just take care of finding and booking our limos. I even showed him this site and how to look up vendors and reviews. So after much prompting and reminding, he's come up with this limo company that he didnt find on any wedding site, but through google.
I've asked around a bit, and this is apparently not a very popular limo company (NY Styles). They are not on any of the wedding websites, and their prices are significantly LESS expensive than most that I've heard (for more hours of service and more vehicles mind you), which makes me nervous.
FH is telling me not to be afraid of a good deal and to stop trying to have control over everything and just trust them. What would you do?? Am I getting nervous for no reason?

Maybe you can check out the better business buearo (sp?) website and see how well their business really is, maybe there is a reason that their prices are so low and they're not very popular...

I think it is great that he got this done...but I always go by if it seems to good to be true then it usually is. I have a hard time going with a company that is sooo much less then all of the others.

def check the better business..i am also using alimo company that isnt on here....and its a good deall..and im not nervous about it!!...

I'd look up the vendor's name on BBB, as well as go there to check it out. At the same time, do trust FH and let him know that you do, but cover your butt at the same time. Just because it's a smaller company doesn't mean you can't get a great deal and great service. In fact, there are vendors that tons of people use on this site, particularly one limo company, that has many negative reviews and people like me avoided them like the plague because I was too nervous to take a chance....so instead of going with the crowd, I ventured elsewhere like your FH and got great deals from great places.

Let me scare you.............check better business bureau and also type into any web browser ( limo comapny name complaints) and see if you get any hits.
FH and I had a similar situation, we thought it was too good to be true and we went ahead and looked. Called next day to seal the deal with a contract and the guy raised the cost by 40%. He said he could do whatever he wanted because we had no price gaurantee.
When I started searching sites etc I found numerous complaints....ask around and be weary!
