My grandmother is coming from halfway around the globe (LITERALLY) to my wedding. Her sister lives in california with her husband. I invited her sister and her husband to my wedding since they are close to my family, but they are older (mid 70's) and don't want to get on a plane by themselves, so they want to bring their daughter (in her 40's) to the wedding, even though I didn't originally invite her or any of her siblings...she would be coming, in a sense, to escort her parents. I think I want to take the higher road and say of course, come and bring your daughter...but I just don't want to cause any drama, don't know if anyone would get upset. Opinions ladies??

Definitely let them come. It might create tension even if you don't so you might as well make the most people happy.

I think if inviting their daughter means that 2 people who are important in your life can attend your wedding, then it is definetely worth letting her come.

Ok Good!! That's what I thought too!!! FH gets mad 'cause I keep adding people to my list, but in all fairness....like 80% of my family doesn't live in this country, so I'm glad anyone from my side is coming at all.

Definitely invite her. It's always tough to decide who 'makes the cut,' but it's family, so go for it. I know what you mean about the numbers growing on the invite list...it's inevitable....

i would definately let her come and if anyone gets upset or has anything to say i would just turn it around and make them feel like they should've kept their mouths shut.
its an akward position to be in, but ultimately you need to do what's right for you.
