so I have an OOT bm who will be in town for another event around the same time i wanted to do the bach party. I was going to plan around her. We were planning on going to AC, so I just found out that she has a family function Fri night and Sat during the day so she doesn't know if she will be able to make it to AC.
Would you change your plans to be something more local so it would be easier for her to be there or just hope she can make it to AC?
If local what ideas do you have??

I think its totally up to you....its your bparty....you are only having one, you should do what you want to do. If you want to have it in AC, then still have it there and maybe the two of you can do dinner or something nice some other time. If you really dont mind and just want her there, then head to the city or go out east on a wine tasting tour.
What kind of scene are you looking for if you go to the city???

It deepdens chica... Are u VERY close to her? Will your Bparty NOT be the same if she is not there??....
Maybe u can have like a mini at NYC and then U can go to AC with the rest!

im kinda in a similar position...one of my BM doesnt know if she will be around for my bach party (which i emailed her the date months ago). when she told me i was a little annoyed since i gave her so much notice. I am close with her (obvi since she is in my bp) so i am trying ti work around her schedule bc i do really want her there

ahh I don't know I mean I live in queens and I go to the city all the time! I really wanted to do something different. I feel bad her not being able to be there even though I am trying to work around her being in ny

Is there any other weekend that she can come to NY? Maybe you can find a different weekend. I feel like you should do what you want to do. A bparty is a big deal and you shouldnt have to compromise....like you said you go to the city all the time. Maybe ask her to come back into town or meet you there a different weekend.

I don't think so since she's coming from the west coast and it's expensive to fly back and forth. UGH

My cousin - a BM - couldn't make it to my bach party this upcoming weekend. If I made it one week later, she would have been able to come, but the following weekend is Mother's Day - and just weekends from my wedding. I decided to have it this weekend regardless. A lot of my friends have other commitments, but this is what worked for me! I still have a good showing for my party.
