What would you do?

What would you do?

My mom is a single mom, probably going solo to our wedding. I've been thinking lately about how she is going to get to our RH after the ceremony at the church. Its close to a half hour drive away without traffic. FH and I will be in our own limo, and our bridal party (including my MOH who is my only sibling) will be in their limo. So my mom is gonna have to get to Fox Hollow on her own, but I feel bad. She may have to drive there by herself. Is there anyone whos been in this situation or has a suggestion?

Is she going to be getting ready with you beforehand? I would say she could go in the limo with the BM but then she would need a ride back to wherever it is you're leaving cars at.

does your mom have any siblings (your aunt or uncle) or are any of your grandparents able to attend?

if your sister is in the limo with the bridal party, you could ask your mom if she'd want to join them (she might say no??) but if she says no, maybe ask her if there's anyone she'd want to drive with?

i think it's really sweet of you to think of her...

This same thing happened at the wedding I was in in April. The mom rode with us to the church, but then didn't come with us for pictures and I guess they didn't figure out rides beforehand and it was really awkward for her. She ended up jumping in with her brother.

I would agree that putting her in with the BM's is a good idea, if they're not going any place that she doesn't need to be (like any additional photo places).

I think it'll be fine if she rides with the bp.

I have a similar situation and this is what we'll be doing too. :)

Thanks so much guys!! I'll probably ask her if she wants to go with the bridal party. If not, I'll talk to one of my uncles.

It's funny because I have the EXACT same situation. Most likely my mom will come in the limo with the BM's, but if not, she has my aunt or uncle (her sister and brother) to go with. I'm sure she appreciates your concern with this and maybe you could even ask what she prefers and makes her feel most comfortable! :)

I agree with the girls.. put her in the limo with the BMs. If she's really against stopping for photos (which I doubt she'll have a problem with), she'll find a way to get her own transportation with another family member.
