my boss, who im super super close to, shes like a second mom to me had me and the other staff over her house on Friday to give us gifts for the holidays and have dinner. she catered it. Friday night, at about 12, i had this very sudden onset of very very high fever. it still hadnt broken by Saturday morning and by then I was having badddd stomach issues. the fever has gone down a little to around 100-101 but has not broken fully and im still having some serious stomach issues. it must be food poisoning. anyway, i called to say i had very high fever and wouldnt be in tomorrow. she cant understand that i dont have any other symptons...do i tell her?? i feel so bad if i was to say it was food poisoning. what would you guys do?
(since were so close, its not like a dead issue, shes going to call tomorrow to see how i feel, and the next day and so on...)

Maybe you can try that it's a food allergy instead of food poisioning? Everyone else ate what you did right? So that might be the case anyway. Or it could really just be a bad stomach bug (I know one is going around).

I would also just tell her it's a bug. I wouldn't think it'd be food poisoning from her party, or else everyone else would've had it too.

thanks for the advice guys, i actually told her at first that i had no idea what it was but then ended up today saying that it seems like food poisoning and i was sorry for not saying anything at first but i didnt want her to assume it was from the food we ate cuz i knew she would, and it might not even be from when i ate by her. it could be something from the day before, etc. (and actually, noone except me got sick so this could very well be the case)
and thanks for the well wishes getting a little better slowly
