what would you do??? (I'll try to keep it short)

I live at my FILs house. They offered me to dress there for the wedding 'I am the bride and I should get dressed where I feel it's easiest.'

My FSIL offered her house. She just got her upstairs redone, has a pourch, pretty bedroom set, etc. I know her and her neighbors will decorate the house so pretty.

My FH wants me to dress at his parents. He feel it's the last big event for them, they'd like it. Plus, he feels his sister will be 'about showing off her house'.

I really rather get dresses at the FSILs because I know it will be prettier for pics & there are no big hairy dogs.

Plus, if he rides his motorcycle to the church I want him to leave from home (2 bocks from church) and I don't want him to see me if I am home.

How do I decide and not hurt his parents?

I would tell them excatly what you told us..that you maybe dont want the dog hair..you want your fiance to NOT see you..that you just feel more comfortable getting ready at your FSIL's. I hope it doesnt hurt their feelings. tell them they can come to your FSIL's while you get ready..that way tehy can still be a part of it!

Just tell them what you just told us...minus the hairy dogs, etc...

Just tell them that you would like it to be more of a surprise for him...and that it would mean a lot to you NOT to have him see you and you would feel more confident doing it at his sis's house.

Tell them that you worry about him seeing you, and feel that they should get to spend time with HIM since they are his parents before the wedding, and that you'll spend the whole time worrying he'll see you. Oh, and tell them honestly that you worry about the pets.

It sounds like they just want to do something that makes your day convenient, if that's so then they will understand your concerns. Just don't tell them they're house isn't 'nice' enough

oh, no I would never say anythng to offend them (the dogs are the fathers LARGE babies)! I worry because it keeps coming up. I don't plan on taking many pics there anyway. I want my parent pics taken at a local park...but if it rains, I have to be inside.

Jenny

You have time to worry about this. As Marcella said a lot could change. Maybe they will redecorate etc before the wedding.

When the time comes, then tell them that you will be tooo nervous to be in the same house out of fear that he will see you!

Good luck but don't stress out over that yet!!

I agree with Marcella, just tell them you aren't yet ready to make that decision. You still have plenty of time and who knows what will change in the next year.

Don't worry about that yet Jenny. You could just tell them that you don't want to risk him seeing you. That might be an easy way out. Good Luck

i would say stick with whole idea of the breaking tradition and maybe seeing him=bad - this way they will never really know!

You need to do what makes you happy and they should understand. Just be honest and let them know how you feel!
