What would you do? (re: Fortunoff)
Ok ladies (and gents), need some help here. Here's my situation:
FH and I registered at 3 places: Fortunoff, BBB and Amazon. Well with the recent news about Fortunoff, I've decided to move everything off of that registry (I used to work in the corporate office at Steve and Barry's, so I know what happens once Chapter 11 is filed). Anyhow, here's the real dilemma:
My china pattern seems to ONLY be available at Fortunoff. It's not at BBB, not on Amazon, Macy's....no where. Ok, fine....I found another that I like at Macy's. HOWEVER, someone already purchased 2 of my place settings from Fortunoff.
So I set up a new third registry at Macy's in lieu of the Fortunoff one with the new china pattern, but what do I do when I receive the place settings that were bought? I assume it's been bought for my e-party since it's next week. Do I just return them myself and get Fortunoff credit, do I try to figure out who bought them and ask before hand, or do I wait until they're given to me and then apologize and ask the person to return them?????
I feel terrible that I have to pick out a new pattern, but since I can't find it anywhere else, and I don't want to take the chance of Fortunoff not being around by next year, I have no other choice![]()
