What would you do (sandals whitehouse)?

What would you do (sandals whitehouse)?

We are thinking og booking sandals whitehouse, however the opening date is only
a few weeks before our honeymoon....this stresses me out a bit, however with the
deal they are running right now, we would be able to get the honeymoon of our dreams at the cost of our budget...

I know that this could potentially be a nightmare, but they WILL put us into
another resort and we would still get the same level of trip that we booked...

Anyone else see my dilema?? HELP!

Re: anyone going to sandals whitehouse?

Well if the resort doesn't open on time & they are willing to put you up in another one of their resorts, I say go for it! Either way, you'll be staying somewhere really nice.

Hi! We have almost the same date and my FH and I were talking about this exact same thing last night!!!
It being BRAND new for our honeymoon really has its good points and its bad ones. Honestly I called and got a quote.. and it was only a few hundred (total) cheaper then the trip to Secrets excellence in Punta cana. That has gotten so many great reviews and feedback! I think even with the 50% off discount this secrets was about $300 more total so its not a HUGE deal...
I called around and have a list on the pricing for punta cana. If your interested fm me and I will send it to you!

I just booked them even though my wedding is a few months away from yours and I expect the problems should be worked out. BUT I talked to my cousin who is my travel agent and she said they have been working on this property for years and it should be spectacular. She told me as well that they would put us at another Sandals if the construction wasn't completed, so I see it as no risk to you at all. (You also get the same catagory room at the 50% off rate so it sounds perfect!)

That is what i am saying! i think we cant go wrong! AND FI really wanted to go to jamaica. i had been for spring break years ago and hated it (but it was SPRING BREAK!! i mean we had a nasty hotel and nothing went as planned)...this seems like a great comprimise cause i LOVE the idea of everything you get and WHERE in Jamaica it is AND i dont want to have this bad idea of jamaica in my head forever!

thanks :)

I just booked it also. I am so excited. The price is amazing and you can't compare Sandal quality to anything else. I booked the penthouse beachfront concierge room for 10 days and the total came to $3800.

I was just looking at Sandals and couldn't believe the prices there! Our wedding is a few months after yours so I'm sure by then the kinks would be worked out... Only thing we're not sure about is that we've been to Jamaica twice on a cruise... it's not the safest area if you leave the resort unattended... Is there enough to do there so that you really don't have to leave unless you're on a tour??

we are going for 6 nights/ 7 days...I LOVE THE BEACH and can sit by the beach or pool (esp with a swim up bar! ) forever!

It seems like sandals has enough to do that you dont need to leave and we ar looking for R&R anyway

I'm not a huge beach lover which is why I wanted to do a cruise... but at the same time I'd love to not be around kids (I'm a teacher LOL)...

My FH and I just booked there today. You really can't go wrong with those prices! And like everybody else has said, if they're going to put you someplace else, if there's a problem, it is definately worth it. All the Sandals resorts are really nice. :)

We are probably going to go to a travel agent in August to get some prices and ideas of different things... probably won't book till the fall...

Whitehouse is definetly on my list now tho!
