I voted I'd wait. We have been dating for 13 years...If I got pregnant now while planning my wedding...I'd be so mad at myself! Is that being too honest? I'd be happy about being preganant...but couldn't I have waited a few more months?

lol i feel like same way...and id prob wait until after i had the baby and reschedule..bc i dunno if id be able to loose all the baby fat between when i had the kid and the wedding

If I was to get pregnant now, I think a big wedding would be totally out of the question for us. Financially, we would never be able to pay for both the wedding and a new baby. Our priorities would definitely have to change!

if i got pregnant.. I would move it up.. JUST so I can wear that dress with the cut out belly..

in FACT.. I think I am going to get it on with FH right now and TRY to get preg so I can wear that sexy lil gown!

see... i don't know what i'd do for sure...but here's how i see it...
a lot of people push up the wedding so that no one knows the bride got pregnant and to make the child 'legitimate'
but the thing is... EVERYONE WOULD KNOW!! Seriously... if you have a wedding totally planned for next year, and then decide to get married right now, that's fine. people might talk and say 'i wonder if she's pregnant' they might not. but when the baby comes less than 9 months later EVERYONE WILL NOTICE!! not that it matters, or that I think everyone would care, i just think it's silly to try and pretend like it's not the case...

so if you're not hiding the fact that you're pregnant, i say do what you want. but i also think if you're really showing, it's silly to wear a big white dress. that's just my traditional side i guess. but designers are making gowns specifically for pregnant brides.... that just makes me giggle.

If I was to get pregnant, FH and I would elope and just pretend it was a honeymoon baby. Since our parents are so against us having 'relations' before marriage, we'll just tell them 'Well, we couldn't wait anymore and with FH holding it in for 21 years, of course we got pregnant on the first try.'

I'd be pissed off at the both of us, because we really want to do things the right way. But we would deal with it. FH and i always say, weve been going out so long (8yrs) and we both have careers now, if it happened it would suck but we would deal with it and still be happy.

but if i got prego now, i think I would keep my date. the baby would be born before the date we have.

but i rreally dont know what I wouold do until i was inthat situation.

Many girls will rush to get married for insurance reasons.

My sister was engaged and planning a long engagement..... Then 3 months into the wedding planning she found out she was pregnant.
They pushed the wedding date up and she was only 3 months pregnant. (she didn't look really pregnant) The wedding was a little rushed and she did with out things ( the hall she wanted , a dj , a good photographer ).
Now my niece is almost two and my sister is glad she pushed the date up because now she is so busy being a mom.

Personally , I think i would have waited.

Wow I feel like I can kind of relate to this topic. . .I just moved my wedding date up from March 2008 to Sept. 2007 for similar reasons. I have been having some problems lately and I had to have a surgery. After Surgery my doctor told my mother that I need to begin trying to have children ASAP. My mother explained that I am not getting married until March. The doctor told my mother that March is too far away and If I wait we may not be able to have children. Long story short. . .I didn't want to be pregnant for my wedding so I moved everything up. My goal was to get married on a 7 and Sept. 7th was available. I hope I can have children but of course I want to enjpy my wedding first.

I think I might move the wedding back a bit if I was due close to the wedding date. I would want to be finished breast feeding first.

My sister in law found out she was preg and moved the wedding up to November (it was may) It was really rushed but it went well, she was just starting to show. The only thing that didn't work out was it was too soon to get our dresses so the bm's all had to cancel our dresses and we just used the credit for shoes and got our dresses at a retail store.

Im sorry to hear that.

However thats the one situation where I would move my wedding up. It sounds like you have made the right choice, I hope things go well :0)

We're 99% sure we are pushing the wedding back to 09 or 10. We can't keep our Nov 1st date because I will probably be due around that date.

Interesting to read this post...
