I need to vent. I need to vent and I need to vent. I hate the people I work with. I work in a hospital (night shift). This morning, I receive a phone call from a guy friend that also work with me (we work in different unit). He's my friend. We've been friends for a very long time even out of work. I found out from him that a girl he works with was spreading rumors about me. He told me that she said since I have a fiance I shouldn't come to the unit to hang out or eat with him. Also, he's marry with 3 kids and FH know him so well but no ones know that at the job. She said that I am always onto him and I hate when he talks to other women. It seems like I am his 'girl'. I couldn't care what he does and says. All we are is friends. What da h***? We can't be friends? What should I do? This is a place where I work at. Should I approach and confront this girl? I can't stand this people. Why do they always have something to say?
I told my best friend about this. She told me to Leave it alone and just avoid the guy for awhile but why should I? We are friends. Why are people so nosy? I really really and reallllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyy want to confront this girl. What a b****?

WOW people can be really mean.... I'd say dont change a thing... and i would avoid confronting her as well is a place where u work so u should keep it civilized even if that other B**** isn't.

you don't owe the ***** any explanation, but if it were me, I would say something to her. Not in front of people, i would do it privatly (like in the breakroom). And make sure you keep it professional and calm, but I would definatly say something. just my opinion.

people who gossip have nothing better to talk about. rather than let this twit get you angry, in which case she wins, feel sorry for her that her life is so fantastically boring that she has nothing better to do than analyze your relationship with her co-worker. god, i hate people who talk $hit. it's really ugly and pathetic.

And then say, I heard you said abc about me. Why would you have said that? I'm just curious.
Never raise your voice. Just act surprised that she would do that.

Quite honestly the girl seems to be upset because it's not her who has such a good relationship with anyone. I hate it when people are always 'minding' someone else's business. People are going to talk regardless. As long as you and your friend know what the truth is then forget everyone else. If you worry about the next person will say and stop speaking to your friend; then you will be a lonely person with no friends. And, that chick will still be making someone miserable.

Yes, I would just leave it alone for a little while as well...
Some people just have NO respect, and are simply just jealous... Don't let it get to you... just while at work... give it a few weeks...then go back to normall...at least that's what I will do... JMO

ITA there's nothing more exhilarating than calling someone's bluff, and in this case you keep doing what you do, hang out with your friend, people who have so little in their own lives that they have to live everyone else's are incredibly sad and pathetic! Pity her, and don't let her get to you!
