What would you say if?......
A married couple visiting from out of town asked to use your brand new apartment/house while you were off on your honeymoon??Assuming that you and your FH have never lived together in the apartment...
What would you say, and why...

#1 They already have a perfectly good place to stay with friend (they just want more privacy)

I woudl tell them in unliveable because of the wedding we havent moved anything in and we have no furniture.. then I would recommend them to the cheapest hotel because it sounds like money is an issue.. is that mean? I am anal about my apt and my bed

Honestly, I wouldn't lend our bed to anyone so unless there is a guest room - no way.

I feel the same way!! I thought I was just being paranoid, but I think a couple needs to be anal at times

IMO, if they are visiting from OOT, they can afford even a cheap motel... give em some suggestions

I would just say 'no' and be honest about the reason. I would simply explain that I want the first people to sleep or do anything in that house to be me and my husband. I don't want my home 'lived in' BEFORE my husband and I have a chance to enjoy it FIRST.Also, I find it very rude, disrespectful and somewhat weird that someone would even ask that!!!

I would just say 'no.' If pressed for an explanation, say that you're not comfortable with it. I think it's rude they would even ask.

NO. It may sound a little selfish but shouldn't WE be the ones to spend the first night in our new place? And what do they need privacy FOR? Do they plan to christen our pad before us? no way Jose!if they have an alternative place to stay, I would say sorry but no.
