I will be having Christmas Eve over my house again this year. I have a very small living room and no dining room just a closset for a kitchen. I will have my two kids and eight adults maybe ten we will be cramped for space. I was curious should I do paper, plastic, or holiday dishes. Last year we did a buffet typr but there was no room to move. This year we were thinking of doing a sit down dinner. What type of dishes do you think I should use? I do not have a dishwasher. Except DH

Re: what would you serve on?
Since you have no dishwahser, forget regular dishes...why create all that work for yourself and DH?
Get some pretty paper or plastic dishes. They have some really nice ones at the lenox outlet out east. They actually have my holiday china dishes in paper as well!

JMO but I seriously dislike paper/plastic dishes, especially for a holiday meal. To me, it ruins the whole experience especially if you go to all the trouble of preparing a nice meal. DH used to think I was crazy because of this but now he agrees. The only dishwasher I have is DH too, but that doesn't stop us from using real dishes all the time.
