What would you wear...

What would you wear to a small shower that is thrown in a home???

I have a shower to go to tomorrow, and coupled with the weather and the way I feel, I'd really like to do a sweater and dark denim jeans, but I have a feeling this wouldn't be entirely appropriate.

Thoughts?

I went to a baby shower and wore jeans a nice sweater and boots and it was fine!

as long as it's not a ratty t shirt and torne up jeans i think you would be fine

Do dark jeans because they always look classy; nice sweater, boots. Then make your hair and makeup extra nice. Thats what I would do

I hosted a shower last summer at my aunt's house...nobody wore jeans. I would feel very uncomfortable going in jeans. What if you are the only one wearing them? I would wear nice pants or khakis. I would say half of the people invited to the shower were in dresses. The other half were in nice pants.

Unfortunately I still can't wear eye makeup because my eyes are still messed up, so I'm going to be bespectacled and beastly looking UGH. That's why I'm afraid I'm going to look like a slob.

No offense to girls who wear glasses at all, I just hate the way I look in mine with a passion.

I think I would wear black pants a turtleneck and ballet flats... that way you are ok either way. My family is very formal though, so thats JMO.

I had a baby shower at home a few weeks ago, I wore dark jeans, a nice sweater and boots, and it was fine, thats what most people wore. Have a good time!!
