little black dress, you can never go wrong with a little black dress.
my ex's cousin had her wedding at her house in smithtown and i wore a gown... because it was formal... (and it was gorgeous)

Look at the dresses from jcrew, I always feel like those dresses can be either made casual or you could dress them up to be fancy if you had too.
