What you wore/are wearing to the Engagement Party

Hey girls. My engagement party is coming up in October, and I have no idea what to wear! What did you or do you plan on wearing? TIA!

I had no idea what to wear to my party either, but everyone kept telling me 'its your day, wear whatever you want!' We had brunch on a Saturday afternoon in November and I wore a magenta colored silk dress, knee-length, with about 1 inch straps and silver shoes. I'll try to find a pic, but I'm not sure if I have any at work

I got this dress :

I got in cobalt blue...depending on where it falls on me and how it looks with the heels i might make it shorter....should be in by the end of this month!

My party was last September. It was very very casual but we wanted to stand out a bit so Jason wore a tie. and I wore a black and white print dress with a black sash and back straps with dressy sandals.

Macy's is prob a good idea! I'm sure once I start looking I'll get an idea of what I want. We are having it at an italian restaurant in Smithtown. The restaurant's normal vibe is a bit dressy (nothing crazy just not flip flops and cut off shorts).

oo that sounds nice!! I know this isn't much help, but like everyone was telling me, get whatever you want - its your party!!

My e-party was in July, and I wore a blue flowery print dress from Ann Taylor Loft that I LOVED...until one of the straps detached itself from the rest of my dress in the middle of the party.
Thank goodness for my aunt who had a safety pin in her car!
