Sorry to say no matter what you do if its in your genes you are most likely going to get them. You could SWIM in cocoa butter and it may not do a thing except make you nice and smooth.

Yeah I have to agree. My doctor told me that the cream is just a myth. It's all genes. You're either going to get them or not. But I've found that it does help with the itching that goes along with streching. So you may want to pick something up to help for that reason.

I remember when Sarah Jessica Parker was preggers they said she used some stretch mark cream by BioTherm ... it smells really good and makes your skin ridiculously soft!

My BF swears by the coco cream as well. I am hoping to avoid them myself. So I make sure I lube up well everyday.

I have been using the palmers cocoa butter and no stretch marks yet, and it does help a lot with the itching!

FYI - I thought I was in the clear with the whole stretch mark deal till I was 9 months... I had a mirror so I could see under my belly and like a spider web... there they were!!! Darn genetics!

I agree cocoa butter definately helped prevent them, or make them reeeeeeeeeeeeaally thin... I ran out because I over abused my jar and started sprouting them faster than I could get to the store... (also in my ninth month) Of course it could have been the 10 pound 5 oz baby I gave birth too....

I used Palmer's Cocoa Butter and have zero stretch marks but I think it is partly genes.
