Whats a good gift for...

I need ideas for a housewarming present. FH's brother and almost wife jsut closed on their house. I want to get them a good housewarming gift but dont know what to get. Any ideas girlies?

Personally, I think a great gift for anyone who has just purchased a new home is a home depot gift card, all you do when you own a home is visit the home depot. Or what about something personalized like a a plaque for the garden that says 'welcome to the smith's' or something like that.

are you looking for like a decorative thing? or like kitchen stuff??

i got my best friend a set of pasta bowls from BBB and the extra set. i have gotten them for a bunch of people and they are a HUGE hit!

I would def. agree for the gift card for Lowes or Home Depot... can't go wrong with that...they will need paint and carpeting...and all that. LOL

I got my sister a personalized door mat. Im big on personalized things but she loved it and its right there as soon as you walk up to the house. Just an idea

I like the gift card idea too.

But if you want an actual gift... I got a set of Mixing Bowls from Crate and Barrel that were awesome - one of my fav gifts!). Dish towels, any kitchen appliance or tool.

For one friend I went to Bath and Body works and purchsed a bunch of air fragrances for her home.. like the plug ins and oil burners and stuff. Also I got a pumpkin candle (My absolute fav candle from them!) for her. SHe loved it.

Another friend.. I made a goodie bag so to speak.. of all the little kitchen stuff that you forget about when you first move out...measuring cups, ice cream scooper pizza cutter, differnt size spoons, wooden spoon, salt and pepper shakers, etc... put it all together in a cute little bag. She loved it! It was all the things I was missing when I first moved out.
