A friend of mine did flip flops and labeled them with what size they were and placed them in baskets according to size. Everyone loved them. I know she bought a lot of them at the Dollar Store and then at Old Navy when they were on sale for a dollar also. HTH!

Re: whats a good idea for a beach theme favor????
I went to a wedding a few years back....it wasn't a beach wedding, but it was their theme. What they did was they got these glass jars from Michael's or some craft store, in the bottom half they filled it with sand and shells. The top half of the glass held a votive candle. They tied it all together with a ribbon in their colors. It looked great on the tables and allowed them to have simple centerpieces without the tables looking empty.

Re: whats a good idea for a beach theme favor????
at first.. i was thinking of doing a destination wedding, hence the beach favors... and i was looking into the treasure chest idea....
you can even make it interesting, and make it seem like a real treasure chest hunt... have one of the treasure chests contain something more than just candy... it'll get the crowd excited and interested~
good luck

sand dollar cookies! You can't go wrong with food.
Maybe you should put together pina colada mix...just add alcohol and ice, blend and serve. I would love to get that as a favor. This way they can also keep it non-alcoholic for the kids and people who don't drink. Get little glass bottles and fill one up with pineapple juice and the other with coconut cream. Tie them together with a recipe and a tag with your name and date on it. Tropical and tasty!

my best friend did a bottle of rum (it was also our table seating card). It was a destination wedding in St Thomas so she only got 65 FULL bottles of Rum/ You can do mini-bottles and tie on a thank you note!

I work at a shop that's beach/nautical themed. We sell tons of items as favors, but one of our most popular is a a glass bubble ornament that is filled w/ sand and shells, a beach pail/shovel or gift/candy cane for the holidays. So cute. Can be personalized w/ names/dates. Great favor, or you could give a starfish or sand $ as seating card/favor combo.
