My friends just booked there HM to Tahiti for about the same days too. I believe they paid close to 8000 and they will be going on another Island too. Staying at Bora Bora first...However, Tahiti is expensive either way..

We paid just under $8000 for 10 nights. It included all of the flights and hotels, but no food. We stayed at the Tahiti Intercontinental, Moorea Sheraton and Bora Bora Pearl.

We are narrowing down our trip right now and it looks like about $10,000 for the same amount of time you are spending. We want to go to Moorea and Bora Bora. We considered a third island but it's too expensive to go longer! I've talked to alot of travel agents and am getting alot of quotes.
I did find a Tahiti specialist through the tourism board though. Let me know if you want her contact info. She sure seems to know her stuff!
I'm already getting excited and I have so long to wait!!! 259 days and 13 hours to get married and then another week to go on the honeymoon.

In and Out Travel located in Lindenhurst on Wellwood Ave............booked our amazing HM to Tahiti (Bora Bora and Tahiti). His name is Dave and he has been there a thousand times and can tell you everything you need to know. He even told us what side of the plane to sit on so we would see a great view.

we booked with Claudia from Pacific for Less... she was GREAT!
we're doing 1 night tahiti at the sheraton, 3 nights moorea in a beach bungalow at the pearl, and 6 nights bora bora in an OWB at the pearl

Has anyone's TA told them there Mon non-stop flight is cancelled or scheduled to now stop in LAX? A few people had posted this info and said all Mon flights were affected but as far as I can see on Air Tahiti's website my Mon flight is fine. Just wondering if I should be nervous.

Ok I just downloaded Air Tahiti's flight schedule for 3/25/07-10/27/07 and I read through it-it says that the Mon direct flight on TN 333 will only operate from 6/17 - 8/31-So, I gather the Monday direct flights from JFK to Papeete are only operating during the busiest months of June, July and August. This explains why everyone traveling during the other months was told the Monday direct flights were cancelled and those of us traveling in June, July and August haven't been notified and have therefore been very confused.

My travel agent says that they aren't having the Monday flight during the slower months, this explains why there are some Monday flights and some not in different months. She said there is a Monday flight in July and August and a flight on Sundays to get back during these months. The other months are only twice a week.

Let me see if I have this correct, so If I wanted to go to tahiti in October it is considered a slower month & the flight out or back home is 2ce a week?

Until 10/27 (thats what Air Tahiti's most recent flight schedule goes until) there is a direct flight out of JFK to Papeete on Wed and Friday and a direct flight home Tues and Thurs. The additional Monday flight from JFK to Papeete and the additional direct flight home on Sun are only running from 6/17-8/31.

Yes, that is correct. We are going in November and saved alittle money because the rates drop at the end of October, specials and stuff. I don't know if I can wait!!

We used True Tahiti Vacations. They are based out of Tahiti, needless to say they are experts on the islands. We communicate with Laurel, she was great.
