Does someone know what a mini viennese looks like, and what treats are included in them?

Re: Whats a mini Viennese?
The RHs that I've visited so far that offer a mini Viennese describe it as a tray of pastries, cookies and chocolate dipped strawberries that is placed on each table. I don't know if that's the same definition everyone uses, though.

Re: Whats a mini Viennese?
fox hollow does this...it usually has different desserts just on a smaller scale than a full viennese and sometimes it includes a chocolate fountain...its usually 1/2 the price of a full vh because you don't get the extra hour

i'm doing this at my RH too. i think all RH's do it differently but at mine its sort of like a smaller version of the full vienniese (which i hear is SICK at russo's!). different, pastries, cookies, cakes, etc. I get an extra half hour instead of a full hour. since its a sunday night i didnt want to go overboard and pay for a full viennese and then have my guests leave bcuz its getting late. lol

My reception hall is doing this for me. We are doing trays of tuxedo strawberries and either italian pastries or black and white cookies with a cordial bar with Godiva chocolate shot glasses

Re: Whats a mini Viennese?
Thatched cottage doesn't call it a mini Viennese but when its cake time they go around with cordials/coffee/cappuccino, and they put an assortment of pastries on each table. Also as the guests leave the entire waitstaff lines up with trays of chocolate covered fruit as a goodbye.
I have been going back and forth with this for a while what do you you all think...Should I even bother with a Viennese?

Re: Whats a mini Viennese?
I've heard the same thing, but each RH is different so check with each place. Usually it is less per head than the full viennese, and it highlights cordials and esspresso...I'm not going for it, I think cake and coffee is more than enough. after eating and drinking all night who wants to eat more anyway?! plus why not use that money for something better?!

Re: Whats a mini Viennese?
A mini viennese is a tray (sometimes 3 tiered) of assorted italian (Vienna) pastries. This is a nice touch if you cant afford or just do not want a whole viennese hour. I had a mini at my eparty & cordials, cappuccino, espresso & demitase bar too. Its a very nice touch. At my RH they will give you your choice of your cake (always included obviously), an extra dessert for everyone, mini Viennese trays (three tiered strawberries dipped, pastries and fruit), and of the entire capp, espresso, demi & cordials with chocolate cups. Or the whole Viennese hour which consists of alot! You need to mak ethe choice of wether you really like this or wether you'd rather spend money somewhere else. Lets say the Martini Bar??? Or have it all which ever! Good Luck!

I have to say Russo's VH was amazing!!! Omelet station, popcorn, cotton candy, a chocolate fountain, orange chocolate fountain ( for a Halloween wedding), sundae bar, juice bar, candy bar.

I am doing this for my eparty. They will put an assortment of pastries on all of the tables and have an expresso bar/ capuccino bar and cordials. I thought it was a nice touch. We are doing the full one for the wedding.
