Whats a typical invitation budget?

I feel like I have no idea how much invites cost!

Whats a typical budget for them?

Generally I feel like you know a roundabout number that things cost, photog $6k ish, band 8k ish, and so on and so forth...

it really depends on how many you need and what style you want. usually if you get 200, the second 100 is cheaper than the first 100. also, if you order fancy linen invites from a company they can be ~ $800-1300 for the first 100. You can also find invites for $200-400 for the first 100, but the paper quality etc differs.

you can also make your own, or order from someone who makes them instead of a big company.

there are also boxed invites that can be $20-60 per invitation!

i think it really depends on the kind of invite ur going for ... i've seen invites from $2 per piece to $150!

lol Walmart has DIY invites in the clearance section for $10.00 for 40 invites and response cards!!

I saw those the other day!! Now I'm convinced I can make my own invites...this should be interesting.

I think it depends...for 150 I spent @ 900 dollars they were from Gala Weddings

i definitely had a budget on my invitations, and it was not high. They were NOT something I wanted to spend a crazy amount on, considering that people just throw 'em away and i have bigger better ways to spend that money. lol. But i still wanted them to look nice and go with my Christmas Theme. In the end, I spent $250 on 100 invites. And everybody was raving about how gorgeous they were. So you don't need to go overboard with it... unless that's in your budget.

I am aiming towards a design I saw on the front cover of a catalog. I think they are gorgeous and they cost $214.45 for an invitation set for 75. At first I thought I had to order more than 100 invitations for my wedding until I realized it was less because a household will get one invitation as opposed to one for each person invited. I got all happy because I realized I was going to spend less $$$

it really depends - I plan on spending btwn $100 - $200 for mine - I won't be getting anything too fancey...

I think mine were just under $300 including envelopes. We went with the theme of our wedding and everyone loved them!
