What's everyone doing about Favors?

We decided to donate money to the National Coalition of Cervical cancer. My mother past away 7 years ago of Cervical Cancer.

I printed up vellum paper cards that say thanks for sharing out day, in lieu of favors we have made a generous donation to the NCCC in memory of....

I'm photocopying a picture of Mom in the same size on cardstock, then attaching the vellum to the picture with a ribbon.

Favors were a touchy thing for us because we wanted someething "different" and useful...not an easy combination....I found a website (which someone on THIS BOARd posted -- thank you!) that does custom wine labels. Now, while wine for a favor is not "different" we got full-sized bottles of white wine (as opposed to the 2 glass/bottle ones) from a distributor in Setauket(Glen Ellen, not Dom Perignon, but a respectable winery) for less than the price of a candle holder! The labels are only .35 a piece! And since the label has our names and date, etc. no wrapping....So posting the website again is my pleasure... give them a looksie! For 9 cases of wine and 125 labels is was just over $300....

They were the easiest part of my wedding. They put everything on a rush and only charged me extra for Fedexing the labels to my house...no extra rush labor fee....The labels are beautiful and the people are very nice. I had e-mail correspondence with them (they're very prompt ans answered my million questions) and ordered them right over the website, then they send you a mock-up over e-mail for you to approve. It is Canadian-based, so keep that in mind when you order.

I also called their toll-free number just to make voice contact. You can also ask for a free sample and they'll send you about 3 types of labels...I would recommend them to anyone!

Good luck....(we chose the daisy themed label -- I think we were both looking for daisy things, right? They look awesome on a yellowish bottle...)

favors...call me nuts but...

I AM GETTING MARRIED IN AUGUST AT THE CRESECENT CLUB AND I WANTED A FAVOR THAT REFLECTED THE TONE OF THE WEDDING (TAKING PLACE BY THE WATER,BEACH). i WAS REFERRED TO A COMPANY CALLED THE LIGHTNING BUG AND I AM THRILLED WITH WHAT WE ARE PRESENTING. THEY CUSTOMIZED A CANDLEHOLDER FOR US: A CLASSY SQUARE SHAPED GLASS CANDLEHOLDER WITH LIGHT BLUE SEA GLASS, AND A VOTIVE CANDLE WRAPPED IN WHITE SILK ORGANZA. THERE IS A PERSONALIZED NOTE FROM MY FIANCE AND I INSIDE THE CANDLEHOLDER, AND EACH FAVOR IS TOPPED OFF WITH A WHITE CALLA LILLY (THE FLOWERS I WILL BE HOLDING). THEY ARE ALSO ATTACHING A MATCHING WHITE PLACECARD TO EACH FAVOR. THEY CUSTOMIZE FAVORS TO YOUR NEEDS-IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A KEEPSAKE AND SOMETHING UNIQUE, DEFINATELY CALL THEM (676-4365)- THEY ARE SO NICE AND HELPFUL AND THEY DON'T CHARGE FOR CONSULTATION!

I'VE ONLY BEEN THERE FOR JEWISH WEDDINGS AND THE FOOD WAS KOSHER. FOOD WAS GOOD. IT IS A NICE PLACE! BIG TOO.

Your best bet is to contact the Rectory and speak with the secretary.
