Whats everyone doing for easter?

I will probably get Vietnamese food this year for Easter. Sorry to break with usual tradition, mamalehs.

HOWEVER I do want to say that Easter is my favorite holiday that I don't celebrate. Why? Cadbury, girls. Cadbury.

Do I ever love that Bunny.

I guess that also means that I'll be exercising for Easter.

As usual we will be going to two places for the holiday. My mom will be at my uncles with her side of the family, so we will be there. My in-laws are having their family over, so we will go there too. Not sure which we will go to first or where we will eat yet.

The Saturday night before is the surprise 30th bday party I am throwing for DH at my in-laws, so I really haven't thought much past then. I don't care if we crash at home and do something just the two of us.

We're doing Real Easter with my family and then Fake Easter on May 1st with my Greek-in-laws. Mr Boots says we're doing Fake Easter with my family and Real Easter with his... you say tomato...

Hey not all Jews get to spend Easter hanging out eating Chinese (at least not anymore) - some of us extra-lucky ones get to have Easter with the in-laws!

Maybe you can sneak out and join us! Hmmm. I am sure you will have a lovely time with your in laws. My brother's wife is Catholic and she always participates in my family's religious events. But when she fasts on Yom Kippur, I tell her shes nuts. I wouldnt fast unless I have to - though I read in a book that I am supposed to fast before my wedding (Old Jewish custom). OY.

I may excel at faux-greekness, but I make up for it by being a bitter disappointment of Irishness! Hate corned beef and cabbage, hate irish soda bread, hate shepherd's pie, can't hold my liquor anymore ... the list goes on!

Are you ready to be jealous....

I'm going to Iowa (yes, thats right folks, Iowa). I have an aunt/uncle that live there, and their son (my cousin) is having his baby's christening there over Easter and I'm the Godmother. So, thats where I'm spending easter.

Maybe they'll have an easter egg hunt in the corn fields....
