Everyone keeps telling me that I should have some type of 'safety drink' on the big day-one that doesn't make you too wild. I'm thinkin' either some type of white wine. Champagne makes me sick . I know that this is a dumb topic, but what are you gonna drink??

Amaretto Sours, they are the only thing that guarantees I won't be sick or to silly. It's might 'light' drink of choice.

Pina Colada's. My hall includes Frozen Drinks, which I found out most do, but I never see people drinking them at weddings. I want my guests to know that they can have them, so I'm ordering up some PC, Straw Daq's & Mudslides!
They usually don't effect me.

I haven't even thought of that....I guess White Zinfandel. My favorite drink is a Sombrero (kahlua and milk) but I can suck those down like nothing and before I know it I'm non-stop laughter over nothing!

StepherG, I didn't know that Watermill offers frozen drinks. You just opened a whole new can of worms for me. I love Pina Coladas!!
Not that I am by any means I am an alcoholic. But I will be getting my drink on that day. LOLOL..

But more than likely I'll lean on to my old favorite. Malibu and Pineapple juice. I tend to sip and it get's watered down. I'll probably make sure the go light on the Malibu.
Afterall I had to change the contract to allow me to BRING Malibu to the bar. They don't normally stock it.. IMAGINE THAT!

I like Stoli Vanilla and either 7up or ginger ale - both are very good. I drank those at the last wedding I went to and got a slight buzz but nothing else -

A friend gave me this piece of advice, dont drink red drinks! The last thing a bride wants is for someone to bump her or whatever and get even a splash of her red drink on her white dress!
That said mine will probably we a white wine. (Pinot Grigo maybe)

That's good advice kelly 9904.... my safety drink would've been amaretto sour too...tastes good and does nothing to me, but a spill would be ugly....Maybe you can get something just as good made with 7-up or sprite? Oh, how about a white wine spritzer?

I LOVE sombreros. I thought I was the only one who drank those. I also love toasted almonds!

For all the Ladies who are using a white wine or Zin...still becareful! I thought this was my safety drink too until my engagement dinner. I didn't eat during the day (nerves i guess-it was the first time everyone was meeting). Well we got there and i had 1 glass of wine. During the salad i had another. By the time i got to dinner i was too giddy. 2 glasses i couldn't believe it...since i drink wine all the time! So whatever you drink...MAKE SURE YOU EAT BEFORE!!!!! It maybe hard since that day goes by so fast but, if you don't eat, it won't matter what your safety drink is!
Ps- i agree about the reds!! Thanks for that one.

Amstel light. Only thing I can drink and not get very drunk on.
Or maybe a very weak Stoli Vanilla and Ginger Ale.

My hall is bringing in drinks for us. I am requesting Bacardi O3 or the Bacardi Razz. They are SOOOO good and CLEAR so I dont have to worry about stains. PLUS they give a NICE buzz!

I am so boring but my safety drink will be water Let's face it, I am one of those cannot hold my liquor gals!!! I love wine but there will be plenty of that on the honeymoon. I would hate to embarass myself on my wedding day. The only thing I plan on doing is the champagne toast.
