DH made a delicious dinner tonight - my favorite - chicken parm! And he also baked cupcakes for dessert!!! I am so lucky.

Yum Italian Julie. Where is that restaurant?
Smithtown! We ended up having chicken parm with penne ala vodka
that's our usual @ La Famiglia!
We went to applebee's and ordered 2 different salads and shared 'em.
Then we came home and I made rice krispy treats- they're my favorite snack!!!

Re: What's for dinner?
For tonight (Sunday) -
I'm making dinner for my family. Poor Mom and Dad have been SOOO sick this week, Mom got an evil flu that's keeping her fever around 102 and she can barely get out of bed.
What should I make for Mom, Dad, siblings, and FH?!? Any ideas?!

No ideas but DH has the evil flu now! Any suggestions on how to ease the pain? He doesn't even want to eat, which is so unlike him.

Mom actually went to the Dr.
My Dad and I had bronchitis, my little sister had strep, and my little brother was run down, but nothing major. Mom definitely got the worst of it. We've been pumping her full of Chinese soup (chicken rice), and that's all she really wants to eat. The Dr gave her some medication- he said that if you catch and medicate the flu within a certain time frame, it'll last much shorter.
My family relies SO HEAVILY on my mother for dinner - the only thing my Dad can cook is scrambled eggs, and no one wants pizza again! They're all helpless ... but I have a lot to live up to! She's such a good cook - I'm looking for something that I can't butcher.

Jenny what kind of food is Tomo?
Japanese.
They have hibachi there, but we never go to watch that. I'm just interested in the food. DH loves their sushi and I'm all about the chicken or steak teriyaki.

Going to an Academy awards party tonite I think they are having baked ziti, and appetizers etc. But I have the whole week planned of meals. here is what I bought to make this week, an oven stuffer roaster, which thanks to JodiJohn from my shower I am going to finally use the rotisseire for the chicken, Jodi, I will let you know how it comes out, turkey london broil, meatloaf, chicken cutlets and left overs one nite. I wish I had one week of not having to cook.

Re: What's for dinner?
tonight, it's lasagna. i feel like such a crappy wife b/c i am using the no -boil noodles (i totally didn't realize these were all we had in the cubboard) and jar sauce and dried parsley. i feel so lazy! usually i feel like if i'm gonna make something, to make it and go totally from scratch. oh well.

Re: What's for dinner?
I am going to attempt to make a pot of sauce and some chicken parm but I am sure I will enlist DH's help. Since getting pregnant I have been useless in the kitchen. We have never eaten out so much.

Andrea, I was there once at Jonathan's and the food is amazing. I recommended it too to my parents and they loved it!
