my dad just told me that they may not be doing so well ... does anyone know whats going on? i just moved my registry from fortunoff to macys soooo i really hope nothing is happening to them!
I just got a part time job at Macy's to make some extra cash for the wedding. I'm working in wedding and gift registry department lol As far as I know they're doing fine.
They are not going to close overall, but they will be closing some underperforming stores. Last time I looked at the list, none of the closing stores were in the area.

someone did post recently that she was having a hard time on macys website adding things to get registry... she was getting messages saying cannot add to registry at this time
my sis in law is a manager for them, they are fine. It's all rumors.

I was in there switching my registry over from Fortunoff's and they told me that they are fine and may close some stores. They did lay off some people a few weeks back but it was said to have been done just to cut costs not because they are going under or anything.
