What's next?

Just booked my reception hall yesterday and I want to take a break for about a month. Then what should I book next? DJ photography, flowers?

Good Question I'm in the some boat you are!
I'm doing my D.J. next!

We did DJ after the hall. We are going to book the photo/video this week, we have been looking for about a month and made a decision. Next will be dress. I am going to hold off on the flowers for awhile.

How do you book your flowers? Do you need to know exactly what you want before you even look for flowers? How do I know who would provide me with the best deal without knowing exactly what I want?

I'm not too sure about the flower thing. I love flowers, but I want something really simple and summery. I think thebest thing to do is find pictures of things you like and then bring them to a florist and see what they tell you. Like everything else, I think you just know when you have found the right one.

I would tackle photo/video next. Sometimes it can take a while till you find someone you love. Then DJ.

I agree. I would definitely do photo/video. After I had the church and hall, I searched high and low for a photographer.

Photo/Video would be next...Considering you are getting married in prime months, I would start to research photographers...The popular photographers book fast!!

Then I would do dj/band & flowers would be the last thing I did..

Re: What's next?

I found a florist that I really liked and locked her for my date, what she did was took all of the pictures of flowers and bouquets that I liked a made a prelim contract, then i just add and subtract from there. She was still way under what i budgeted...but we did hall, photo, dj....they book up the fastest I found

I think if you are getting a band or even a real popular DJ you should do that soon too

Contrary to the order I went in, I'd leave flowers for later since most florists can do more than 1 wedding a day. I'd do photo/video and then music.

Of course the flowers are fun because they help to give you a feel for what the day will be like - - and I'm not a flower person!

Start looking for photographer and video next. It took me forever to find the right one at the right price. DJ I researched on here and booked him the same day I went to see him. The DJ was by far the easiest thing I have booked so far.

I would def. start with photo and video...

The company Im interested in for photo already has two weddings booked the day of mine...leaving one guy to choose from... (just so happens the one guy left is who I was recommended about )

Alot of these companies are smaller and only send out a few people..therefore if they are book that night...too bad you cant have em'

I would do photo/video next. That is the first thing that we booked and the guy said that they were almost booked for our date.
