wow, they are very similar. Kate's dress had a avery timeless look to it though.

Now that you mention it, my mom's wasnt too dissimilar either.. except hers had like a lacy mock-turtle neck... I laugh at her because the only skin she was showing was hands and head!![]()
So if these styles from the past pop up again, do you think we'll a re-emergence of the gowns of the 80s???![]()

EEEEk! I hope not!! The poofy sleeves....the pearls hanging from the bust....the pointed headpieces that lay on the forehead....please let those stay in the past!!!![]()

Funny you say this bc I was looking at FMIL's wedding pics not long ago, and thought the sleeves and high neck were so similar to Kate's style dress. Funny how old becomes new, but that always happens. Like tapered leg pants.............. *shiver*
Ah, you're right! I recently watched FOB and realized it was pretty similar. Sans the ginamorous bows, of course. I also noticed my mom had a similar dress in the '80s. Hers also had the mock turtleneck. Still pretty!
