What`s on your PLAY list??
Cool! It is neat to see what everyone's style is for their wedding! We are going for a more 90's dance-party, latino tone atmosphere b/c the majority of the wedding will be 20's-30's. (And it has been requested =:)) I have been at various weddings with the same group attending mine so I know what they like.
Cocktail Hour:
- LOTS of Harry Connick, Jr., Frank Sinatra (Anything from the 'When Harry Met Sally' Soundtrack), Tony Bennett, Toni Braxton, Dave Matthews Band
- NO SAD WEEPY SONGS =:)
- 'Thunder Rolls', Garth Brooks
Reception MUST Plays:
- 'Devil Went Down to Georgia', Charlie Daniels Band
- Lots of Funk: James Brown, George Clinton
- 'Boriqua Anthem', C&C Music Factory
- 'We Like to Party', Venga Boys
- 'Gettin Jiggy', 'Miami', Will Smith
- 'Funk Soul Brother', Fat Boy Slim
- 'Cup of Life', anything by Ricky Martin
- 'Waiting for Tonight', anything by Jennifer Lopez
- 'Time for the Perculator', Casmere
- 'Your love is my Love', Whitney Houston
- 'Con Te Partiro' Dance Mix, Donna Summer
- 'Jump Jive', Brian Setzer Orchestra
- 'Zoot Suit Riot', Cherry Poppin Daddies
- 'Sing, Sing, Sing (With a Swing)'
- 'Believe', Cher
ABSOLUTE DO NOT PLAY LIST:
- Electric Slide
- Macarena
- Hot Hot Hot
- The Chicken Dance
- Tubthumpin, Chumbawumba
- YMCA
- Locomotion
- Mony Mony, Billy Idol
- What I Like about You
- Mambo #5
- Hands Up
- Wind Beneath My Wings, Bette Midler
- Who Let the Dogs Out
(The reason I don't want any sappy songs is because my mother recently passed away and I don't want my sister or family getting upset. She is sensitive)

I am clueless when it comes to naming songs so this helps me tremendously. Tina - I really like your play list and don't play list. We are going for the same type of antmosphere. I want it to be a real party.

I'm having a DJ specifically because most bands can't play the type of dance music I want to hear. This is just my opinion.
