That little lace thing you can put on that covers your upper back... Not a shawl but something you actually put on. Am I making sense? I saw it on platnum weddings and I love it!

I agree - it's a bolaro if it slips on you (w/sleeves) and comes mid-back. Otherwise it's a lace jacket.
