Right now we have $500 in our budget for the donation to our RC church - just wanted to know what the ball park amount is in case we have to adjust our budget.

Mine is $75 for pre-cana and $425 for the church - totaling $500. Then tips for the altar servers and organist.

Mine is $35 for precana, and I THINK 600 for the church

$500 for church (which includes pre-cana)
$150 for organist and vocalist.
We're not having a mass so no altar boys and our deacon and priest both told us they cannot accept tips. It would be like tipping the person who gives you communion. They cannot accept tips for administering sacraments.

Our church 'donation' was $400. Plus $125 for the organist, plus $125 for the singer, plus $50 for pre-cana. So $700 all together!
We didn't tip the priest or anyone else... I don't think this is expected, nor do I think it should be accepted by them!

$800, that wasnt a donation but the fee for the church. I think the majority of chuches tell you how much they want instead of a donation

oh they told us the amount to donate not like we picked $600. So even when we all say $600 donation or whatever the amount its bc we were told thats the donation amount

I would probably budget about $1000 for total costs of the ceremony - Church donation, organist, singer, pre-cana. This may be more than you'll actually wind up spending, depending on your parish but it's nice to have that cushion.

Ours is 640 for pre cana, church , and 2 of there music people, plus we have to tip the alter servers and priest.

Mine is $500 plus $200 for music and we have to tip 2 alter boys (which we don't need) $20 each.
