My cousin is expecting her first child in May and I want to send a nice book full of good advice. What book do you suggest?
I was thinking 'Baby Bargains' because I thought 'Bridal Bargains' was the best book I read when I was planning my wedding, what do you think? By the way, she already has 'What to Expect When Your Expecting.'

I got the Girlfriends guide to the first year of motherhood and I love it!!! It is funny and right on the money. Really made me feel like I wasn't insane!!!

I love the Girlfriend's Guides. There is a Pregnancy one and a 1st year of motherhood one. I also loved Nursing Mother/Working Mother. I felt that really helped me a lot.

OK, I'll look for the Girlfriend's Guides. Any other suggestions? I'm an information junkie and I assumed there were tons of titles for mothers-to-be. Any more favorites?

I loved your pregnancy week by week. Unlike what to expect when you are expecting, it breaks the pregnancy down by each week. It details what changes the baby has gone through, how much it should weigh and even shows a photo of what it should look like at that point in time. It is terrific.
