What's the big idea?

I tend to get really hung up on lyrics, especially with the songs we're picking out for our big day. I was just wondering...what's the big draw to having 'I Will Survive' played? The song is about a woman getting rid of a man. I don't get why this is such a big hit at weddings. To me, it's out of place.

I know it's going to be impossible to pick through all the lyrics of all the songs that will be played at the reception. But, 'I Will Survive' is definitely on our DO NOT PLAY list.

I think 'I will survive' is just one of those songs everyone can have fun with. Pretty much everyone knows the lyrics to the song and have been in that situation at one point or another. It's popular at weddings because it gets people up and dancing and singing. I don't think you should take the lyrics seriously. Just have fun with it.
